Styled on the famous painted furniture of Shanxi province in central China, this beautiful black lacquer sideboard has an outer frame that is painted with flowers in gold, red and green, while the four upper drawers are also decorated with gold leaf. Each of the four doors is decorated in gold leaf and hand painted with butterflies – a symbol for both long life and for happiness in a marriage. The inside of the sideboard is one open space, with a removable shelf on each side. Also available in red lacquer or cream lacquer. Other colours can be made to order.
