This beautifully proportioned, large console table looks contemporary but is influenced by many of the simpler Chinese altar tables that were used as the stage for offerings to ancestors. Made in the same style as the rustic elm version but from solid poplar and with a rich chocolate brown finish. The beautiful graining in the wood is still visible throughout the piece. The table ends themselves are each worked into a subtle ‘S’ shape that gives a wonderfully fluid feel.
