The ‘horse hoof’ shaped feet and waisted table top of our chocolate colour coffee table are a typical trait of most Chinese tables from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The table is based on the simple wooden daybeds that were used throughout China for reclining during the day and for sleeping on at night. The addition of two shallow drawers gives a more modern practicality – useful for holding magazines or remote controls.
